Short-term Disability Insurance
A physician-documented, Short-term Disability often results in a loss of income. Our Short-term Disability insurance pays you a percentage (60%) of your gross income in monthly benefits while you are disabled. Your benefits adviser will help you select the right amount of disability insurance benefits for your needs, as well as the length of time they are payable. Short-term Disability Insurance is a way to stay ahead of the medical and out-of-pocket expenses that add up so quickly after an illness or in the case of an injury - not just for emergency treatment, hospital stays and medical exams, but for other expenses you may face, such as transportation and lodging needs. Aflac benefits are paid directly to you, so you can use them at your discretion. Why do I need Short-term Disability Insurance? Can you ever be sure that you won’t experience a short-term disability? In the case of illness or injury, a short-term disability insurance policy helps you maintain your standard of living and helps pay your bills. If you were to become disabled tomorrow and couldn't work for two to six months, would you have enough savings to cover your living expenses during that time? If not, you may want to consider short-term disability insurance. |
